Bryan

Letting Ortmeyer go was a big mistake. He is more valuable than Colton Orr or Ryan Hollweg. That alone should have merited a new contract for him. Although, if a kid can step up and into the lineup, say a Greg Moore, a Dane Byers or even Tommy Pyatt, into the 4th line energy role, the loss of Cullen and Orts wouldn't be so bad.
But last year when Orts was out, the Rangers, for lack of a better word, sucked. When Orts came back everything seemed to click. So when it all boils down, the bigger loss isn't Cullen, it is Orts.
I just hope that whoever replaces Orts can step it up and play with the same type of heart, soul and intensity that he played with.
